Family Camping 2026
Rachel and I would like to bring back family camping. We are welcoming everyone to join us at our property in Waterford, VT for campfires, hiking, sunset views, turkey family dinner, and trail rides.
We're arriving Friday morning and staying through Sunday. Early and late arrivals welcome.

Waterford, VT — Northeast Kingdom
~2 hours north of Chelmsford (for real)
Accommodations
We're bringing back the pickup truck tent! But for those worried about inclement weather, we don't have to rough it:
🏠 Two-bedroom cabin
2 queen beds, 1 sleeper sofa (full), bathroom with shower.
🚐 Camper
1 queen bed, 1 full bed, 1 sleeper sofa (full), bathroom with shower.
🚽 Bathrooms / 🛁 Shower
2 bathrooms at the tent site, one with shower.
What to bring
Pack like you're heading to Maple Haven.
- Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad
- Warm layers (October nights hit 40°F)
- Headlamp or flashlight
- Toiletries and any medications
- Food and drinks
We'll have a campstove and a propane grill available for all to use. We're planning to make a fried turkey dinner Saturday night. Potluck-style contributions welcome.
Activities
Miles of trails throughout the property for hiking and exploring.
Bring your toys: Side-by-sides, dirt bikes, ATVs welcome. Have fun, but please ride safe.
Explore nearby Littleton, NH and Saint Johnsbury, VT.
- The Ammonoosuc Trail is open to ATVs and buggy rentals are available.
- The Fall for St. Johnsbury Festival is happening this weekend.
